The Graphic / layout design for this project consists of bespoke and standard packaging for 2 CDs and full page advertisements in music journals globally.
Layo and Bushwacka - Rio was global underground's 33rd release in its long running mix series. MAAD produced a 36 page limited edition CD set for the release along with a standard 2xCD. All ads and retouch work were done for the label too.

Adam Freeland Mexico City. Revising Global Underground's existing look was part of the premise of this compilation. Tying in branding from GU [MUSIC] (its sister label) was key to its new visual equity.
Striking contrasts have always been at the forefront in Global's toolkit making vibrant colours and imagery a must in this project.
GU MIXED required bespoke packaging on a large scale. This mix collection spanned 3 formats and encompassed music from the past ten years. The design had to embody global underground yet have wide scale appeal at retail. The Artwork was also developed for broadcast commercials in conjunction with Art science.
All illustration work was done in-house by the MAAD Design team.
GU [MUSIC] is the artist side to the compilation series. Albums and singles are released by various artist related to the label. Each project is as individual as the artist creating the music, each one requiring a unique approach and idea to bring it to life.
